India - Israel Brothers in Arms against the terror

India .. Israel
These two names evoke a sense of bonding that is hard to find anywhere except in case of Hindi movies showing a brother having been lost in a "Fair". Yes these two nations showcase the similar entities so much so that it would amount to no error in case we label these are brothers lost, separated and now rejoined again.

You may be wondering what is similar between these two nations. Well this is not the correct question, the Correct Question would be: “What are the dissimilar things between these two?” The last 5 decades have only brought to light the amazing similarities and bonhomie that define the relations between these two wonderful nations.

* Israel and India became Independent almost at the same time (India in August 15,1947 and Israel in May 14, 1948).
* Both were ruled by Britishers before they attained freedom.
* Both share the civilization history dating back to more than 5000 years ago.
* Both shared a troubled time immediately after independence.
* Both are surrounded by neighbours hostile to them.
* Both have carved a niche in technological and Scientific development, especially the military hardware (Isreal surpassing India in this regard)
* Both have borne the brunt of selective Terrorism and have been continuously targeted by their immediate territories (India targeted by China and Pakistan, Israel had to bear the violence of all Arab-nations especially.. Syria, Egypt, Iran, Palestine)
* Yet both of them survive by their sheer grit, determination and perseverance to never yield before the mindless violence.
* Israel and India hold each other in high-esteem (their partnership goes beyond Defence-deals and high-official visits).
* India had given shelter to very large no. of Jews when almost half the word was prosecuting them. A fact that is echoed and mentioned even in the Speeches of Swami Vivekananda. Similarly Israel reciprocated back to India at every difficult step (Israel was the first nation to send relief work in the Earthquake affected Gujarat).
* Both are vibrant democracies with effective disposal systems.
* India is a diplomatic and Military partner of Israel with both nations banking on each for defence preparedness and technology interchange respectively.
* These two nations have gone beyond the usual “interest” in strategic affairs as both continue to share Intelligence inputs and their Secret Intelligence Agencies collaborating with each other quite often.

All these are merely the facts which are available in public domain. The other facets of this amazing relationship may not be know unless some of the classified documents are made public.

Watch the video above to be confirmed of the facts above. An Excellent watch!
